Typical Slot Aeration Installation
Aquabio Ltd have joined with KLA systems to provide additional aeration and mixing solutions.
Like the conventional jet aerator, slot injectors are two-phase liquid/gas contactors but they have very unique geometrical characteristics that result in an oxygen transfer system with distinct advantages compared to conventional jet aeration systems:
Capital Savings:
Up to a 60% reduction in recirculated liquid flow results in smaller and/or fewer pumps as well as significant reductions in the quantity and size of the liquid piping systems.
Capital Savings:
Up to a 15% reduction in air flow results in smaller blowers and/or motors.
Energy Savings:
The higher pressure pumping system allows for more efficient impellers.
Energy Savings:
Increased velocity of the jet plume allows for raising the jet nozzles and canting them downward resulting in lower pressure blowers.
Energy Savings:
The Injector design characteristics and performance database allows for optimizing the aeration system performance by varying both the liquid and air flow. Two phase flow control means maintaining the highest level of energy efficiency over a wide band of operating conditions.
